The Water Utility has two separate water systems, the East and West sides of Little Lake Butte Des Morts.
East Side
The East Side System consists of two wells, a treatment plant, a one-million gallon reservoir, one 300,000 gallon water tower, and a metering station where 50% of East Side water is purchased from the City of Menasha and blended in the reservoir with the well water.
West Side
The West Side System consist of four wells, two treatment plants, two one million gallon reservoirs, and two 300,000 gallon water towers.
The two systems have over 132 miles of water mains and 1,324 fire hydrants. The Water Department has 8,694 water meters serving customers in the Village of Fox Crossing, City of Menasha, Town of Neenah, City of Neenah, City of Appleton, Town of Harrison, and the Town of Grand Chute. The water department consists of 8 full-time employees and one part-time contracted employee. Service personnel are “on call” 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and 365 days a year.
