Fee:  $75.00 per year

Application must be submitted at least 30 days prior to beginning sales.

Lots may be set up starting November 1st and must be cleared by December 31st.

The following requirements must be met for the sale of Christmas Trees with the Village of Fox Crossing:

  • Minimum of two (2) fire extinguishers with a minimum rating of 4A:80BC shall be at each Christmas Tree lot and readily accessible in a conspicuous location.  A properly trained and approved extinguisher service company shall have serviced the extinguishers within the previous 12-month period in accordance with NFPA10 and manufacturer's instructions.
  • "No Smoking" signs shall be posted.
  • Christmas Trees shall be stored at least 20 feet from any building and stored away from all flammable and combustible liquids.
  • Electrical cords and lighting shall be minimized and used in a safe manner.
  • Open flames shall not be allowed on the premises.
  • An updated site plan must be on file each year.
  • Fire Department must inspect annually.

 

Failure to fully comply with any of the aforementioned requirements may cause the forfeiture of the sales permit and may be justification for issuance of a citation.
