Working at the Polls

Election Officials perform a very important public service by enhancing the high quality and integrity of elections. Join this team of individuals who help ensure this basic right of citizenship.

Election Inspectors arrive at the polls at 6:00 a.m. to organize the polling place and must be able to remain after 8:00 p.m. until election results and forms are completed. Full days and morning or evening shifts are available.

Election Inspectors are given an Oath of Office for a two-year term and are either paid or may volunteer their services. Breakfast is provided compliments of the Village of Fox Crossing.

Duties include preparing voting booths, registering voters, checking poll lists of preregistered voters, distributing paper ballots, counting votes, and completing election forms.

We need committed workers! If you are a qualified elector, have energy, stamina and perseverance, possess good reading skills, can print clearly, and are willing to work to serve your community, complete the Election Inspector Employment Application attached. (You must reside in the county in which you are serving).
