Schildt Park to Undergo Improvement Project in 2026
We are excited to share that funding was recently approved in the 2026 Village of Fox Crossing Budget and Schildt Park will soon undergo a series of improvements, designed to enhance its recreational offerings and accessibility. These planned upgrades will ultimately create a more enjoyable experience for all park users.
In conjunction with this project, the Village’s Public Works Department will be constructing a stormwater pond within the park area. This infrastructure improvement will allow the Village to meet DNR requirements, help manage water runoff more effectively, and support local drainage needs.
Planned park updates include:
- Pickleball Courts
- Full-Size Basketball Court
- Playground Replacement
- Walking Trails
- Sledding Hill
- Pavilion Improvements
- Remove Granary Building
- Re-pave Parking Lot and Trails
As part of this project, a new neighborhood access point into the park will be created for both vehicles and pedestrians via the cul-de-sac area of Benjamin Court. Improving connectivity to the park will help promote walkability, access for nearby residents and overall park safety. While we do not have a project timeline quite yet, work is expected to begin next spring and take much of the year to complete. To ensure the project moves as quickly as possible, the majority of Schildt Park will be unavailable for use in 2026.
We thank you for your continued support as we work to make Schildt Park an even better place for everyone to enjoy. If you should have any questions, please feel free to reach out to the Parks and Recreation Office via phone: (920) 720-7108 or email: [email protected].
OPEN HOUSE
To give residents an opportunity to learn more about the project, ask questions, view the conceptual design, and share your opinion on three different playground designs, we invite you to attend an Open House on December 10 from 4:30–5:30PM in the Fox Crossing Assembly Room (2000 Municipal Dr. Neenah).
