Water Utility Shut-Off Notice Error
For those that recently received their April 30th Utility Bills, a ‘NOTICE of Potential Shut-Off’ was mistakenly printed on the informational stuffer included with the bill. Our apologies for causing any stress, angst, or concern when you read this. This went to everyone that receive a utility bill at the end of April.
Our intention was to include the same notice sent to those in February and March which was a notice that the Village will be changing our policy to include shutting off non-paying customers that do not attempt to pay their utility bill. In putting together the informational sheet, we mistakenly included the notice that goes out with the warning for non-payment after collection efforts have already started.
If you have a delinquency on your account, you would have received a separate mailing informing you of the delinquency and you will also see a balance forward on the statement you just received.
